Chai Tea

Total Time – 10 min

Servings – 4

Ingredients:

Spice Mix*

  • 3 tsp ginger powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp clove powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Liquid

  • 8 cups of unsweetened oat milk or coconut milk
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Add the milk to a pot and put on medium heat.
  2. While milk is heating up, combine the spices in a small bowl and mix well.
  3. Add mixture to milk using an eggbeater and add the vanilla.
  4. Keep stirring while gently heating up the tea to desired warmth and serve immediately.
  5. Optional: add a natural sweetener like coconut sugar to taste.

* You could make up spice mixture and store in a jar, keeping it topped up for convenience.
