The Profession Of Naturopathy
Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors
The CAND is a national non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for the practice of naturopathic medicine in Canada on a federal level.
Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors
The OAND does similar advocacy work to that of the CAND, but on a provincial level.
College of Naturopaths of Ontario
The College of Naturopaths of Ontario is the regulatory body overseeing the profession of naturopathy in Ontario. They replaced the former regulatory body, the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy – Naturopathy. Among other things, they maintain a register on their website of everyone who is qualified and licensed to practice naturopathic medicine. Before working with any naturopathic doctor, it’s a good idea to check their registry to make sure you’re working with someone qualified to practice.

Dr. Mark Hyman is a functional medicine practitioner. Though he’s a medical doctor, he takes a holistic approach to healthcare.
Dr. Amy Myers, MD
Dr. Amy Myers is a medical doctor who takes a holistic approach to healthcare. She practices in Bee Cave, Texas, just outside of Austin. Take a look at her blog – there are some great articles on there to help empower your health.
Dr. Gabor Maté, MD
Dr. Gabor Maté is a Canadian medical doctor and best-selling author. He’s best known as an authority on addiction, childhood development, and stress. He also does talks on these subjects.

Dr. Jorge Flechas is a medical doctor based in North Carolina. He’s known as a specialist in the field of thyroid health. He’s written extensively on the subject.
Dr. David Brownstein, MD
Dr. David Brownstein is a medical doctor who practices in West Bloomfield, Michigan, northwest of Detroit. He’s one of the most influential and knowledgeable holistic medicine practitioners today.
Dr. Denis Wilson, MD/WTS
